What’s new in Aiwyn Practice

Project Billing tab: full billing schedule management inside Draft Invoices

The Project Billing tab inside Draft Invoices gives billing teams a single screen to search any client or project and see its full billing picture: whether it’s on a schedule at all, what type it is (fixed fee or hourly), how often it bills, the invoice amount, and exactly when the next invoice will generate.

Instead of opening one client’s project at a time to check on billing, you can now work across your whole book of business at once. Pull up every client on a monthly recurring schedule, check every upcoming invoice date, or search a specific client directly, all without leaving Draft Invoices.

Why this matters

Billing teams can finally manage recurring invoicing as one job instead of client by client. Need to see which clients are on a subscription, or when the next batch of recurring invoices generates? It’s now one search away instead of a drill down into each client and project record.

Enhancements & minor updates

  • Auto-charged invoices reflect paid status correctly: After a successful automatic charge, invoices now correctly show as paid.
  • Engagements list grouping and filtering: Improved grouping the engagement list and then filtering by a staff column (Created By, Last Updated By).
  • Client group engagement table: A client group’s engagement table now filters to engagements for that group only.
  • Permission sets (Payments section): The Payments section now appears in Permission sets for all firms actively using Payments, regardless of payment portal configuration.
  • Timesheet entry work code validation: Picking a work code before selecting a project on the timesheet entry form no longer allows a mismatched service line through, preventing a save error.
  • Timesheet metrics for time off: Time off entries are now tracked as a standalone metric on the timesheet, and Time off hours are now included in the Total Hours metric.
