Bulk Actions lets billing teams send and post multiple invoices at once or schedule invoice delivery for a future date. This replaces manual, invoice-by-invoice sending and supports both email and manual (print/download) workflows, making it especially useful during month-end, tax season, and large billing runs.
Why this matters
Bulk Actions reduces billing time from minutes per invoice to seconds for dozens or hundreds of invoices, while still supporting firm-specific delivery requirements. Teams can now process high-volume billing runs more efficiently and schedule delivery to align with client preferences.
Firms can now add detailed expense information and line item notes directly on invoices, giving clients clearer context about charges and supporting more transparent billing conversations.
Why this matters
Detailed line items reduce client questions about invoice charges and help firms justify fees with proper documentation, leading to faster payment and fewer billing disputes.
Billing teams can now set custom invoice dates directly from the invoice details page, providing more control over when invoices are officially dated for accounting and compliance purposes.
Why this matters
Flexible invoice dating helps firms align billing with month-end close processes, client fiscal calendars, and internal accounting requirements without workarounds.
Firms can now configure a custom “sent from” email address in billing settings, ensuring invoice communications come from a firm-branded address rather than a generic system address.
Why this matters
Branded email addresses increase client trust, improve email deliverability, and reinforce professional firm identity in all billing communications.
New metrics have been added to key dashboards to provide deeper visibility into firm performance. The Engagement Performance dashboard now shows the number of engagement letters sent and the percentage of sent letters that are executed. The Billing Performance dashboard now excludes expenses from Realization Rate calculations for more accurate profitability tracking and includes a Total Billed metric.
Why this matters
More granular metrics help firm leaders make data-driven decisions about engagement effectiveness, billing performance, and resource allocation.
Firm admins can now safely deactivate clients who no longer work with the firm while being prevented from deactivating clients with active engagements, projects, or invoices. The system automatically detects conflicts and provides clear guidance.
Why this matters
Conflict detection prevents accidental data issues and ensures client records remain accurate while supporting efficient client list management.
Firm admins can now deactivate contacts who no longer work with the firm, with the same conflict detection capabilities that prevent removal of contacts who are still involved in active work.
Why this matters
Clean contact records improve team efficiency and ensure firms can maintain accurate relationship data without risking disruption to active client work.
Admins can now identify duplicate client records, confirm they are true duplicates rather than similar entries, and resolve redundancy by merging or deleting records. This is particularly useful for firms that import client data from third-party practice management systems or CRMs.
Why this matters
Accurate, deduplicated client records enable automation of downstream processes, reduce manual data cleanup, and ensure teams are working with reliable information.
Expanded client type options
Firms now have more flexibility in categorizing clients with expanded options for Client Type, supporting better client segmentation and reporting.
Configurable billing communication preferences
Firms can now configure billing communication preferences at the firm level, ensuring consistent messaging and delivery settings across all client invoices.
Auto-generated client numbers
Firms can enable automatic generation of client numbers (IDs) when creating new client records, eliminating manual tracking and ensuring consistent client identification.
Aiwyn now integrates with FieldGuide, allowing external FieldGuide requests to appear directly within the Aiwyn Client Portal.
Why this matters
A unified portal experience reduces client confusion and missed requests, increases on time completion, and gives firms a single, trusted view of everything clients need to do, even when the underlying work still happens in tools like Field Guide.
Firm users can now select multiple Request List items at once and apply bulk actions, including resending requests, editing key fields, duplicating items, accepting responses, and changing reviewers, assignees, or due dates. This update lets teams manage large sets of requests from a single view instead of opening each one individually.
Why this matters
Bulk updates save time, reduce manual effort, and help teams keep Request Lists accurate and up to date, especially during busy periods with high volumes of client requests.
Request items with restricted access now display a lock icon on the firm side, making it immediately clear which items have controlled visibility settings.
Why this matters
Clear visual indicators help team members quickly identify sensitive requests and understand access controls without having to check item settings individually.
Firms can now filter smart statements by partner for faster review and approval workflows. Sorting options include time overdue, status, and amount due, making it easier to prioritize collection activities.
Why this matters
Partner-level filtering speeds up collections review cycles and helps firms organize collection workflows by responsible party, improving accountability and efficiency.
Aiwyn Payments now supports processing payments from cards located in El Salvador, including scenarios where billing addresses do not contain postal codes.
Why this matters
Expanded international payment support enables firms with global clients to accept payments from more regions, reducing payment friction and improving cash flow.
